Shiny things at Santa Pod: Diamondbrite joins the Show & Shine circus
There’s something gloriously unhinged about a Show & Shine competition at Santa Pod Raceway. Amongst the tyre smoke, burger vans and questionable Euro-style spoilers lurks a battleground of polish, paint depth and pristine arches. And now, thanks to a new partnership with Diamondbrite, it’s about to get even shinier.
That's because Santa Pod has teamed up with the car care bods at Diamondbrite for the 2025 Show & Shine season – which kicked off at The Ford Show and is followed by the popular Bug Jam and the gloriously uncategorisable USC (Ultimate Street Car).
Every Show & Shine entrant gets a freebie – a bottle of Diamondbrite’s fancy new Graphene Pro Detailer and some ‘Buffing Buddies’ (not a boy band, we checked). It’s the sort of stuff proper detailers use, but now even your nan's lightly modified Micra can sparkle like a show queen.
Winners in each category don’t just walk away with bragging rights – they also get exclusive detailing kits packed with Diamondbrite’s top-tier products. It’s a bit like winning Crufts but for your Corsa.
Diamondbrite isn’t some fly-by-night potion peddler, either. The company has been knocking out vehicle protection gear since 1992 – the same year that gave us the Escort RS Cosworth and Wayne’s World. Excellent. These days, they make stuff for everything from cars to caravans and motorcycles to boats. And let’s be honest, half of Santa Pod ends up camping by Sunday morning anyway, so it’s nice to know your home-on-wheels can get the glossy treatment too.
According to Lance Boseley, marketing director at Diamondbrite, it’s all about connecting with a passionate community of car folk who genuinely care about keeping their motors mint. Caroline Holden at Santa Pod Raceway is equally buzzed, saying Diamondbrite’s involvement takes the events up a notch.
In short, more sparkle, more prizes and fewer excuses for turning up with swirly paintwork and half-washed alloys.
Bug Jam 38 hits Santa Pod Raceway from 25-27 July, and USC follows hot on its tail from 1-3 August. If your car’s shinier than your future, this might be your moment.
Polish responsibly. Shine hard. And always bring a microfibre cloth.
