Club Petrolblog 2026-27: renew before the tax disc runs out
Right then. Your Club Petrolblog membership is about to expire, which means it’s time to scrape the baguette crumbs from the footwell, find a Bic that still works, and renew your place in the world’s least essential car club.
Club Petrolblog 2026-27 is now open for renewals and new members. As before, it’s £13.60 for the year, because the Citroën AX GT had a 1360cc engine and I reckon it remains a good enough business strategy.
Renew or join before 31 July and you’ll be part of the early-bird batch, which means your new tax-disc-style sticker will be sent out before the price rises to £19.98, in honour of the Citroën ZX 16v, obviously.
The price rise isn’t designed to fund a marble-floored Petrolblog HQ, sadly. It’s simply to encourage early renewals, so I know how many envelopes to lick and how many packets of biscuits to buy. Yes, I'll be sending biscuits to members when they least expect them.
For your £13.60, you’ll receive:
- A new Club Petrolblog tax-disc-style sticker
- A membership number
- 25% off a Classic.Retro.Modern. subscription
- 20% off motoring books at Veloce
- 20% off top-tier rust-proofing at Rustec – plus a free cleaning kit
- 15% off at Screen Wash King
- 10% discount at Carmats4U.com
- Behind-the-scenes access to the forthcoming A-Z of Petrolblog YouTube series
- An invitation to the first Petrolblog social event. Yes, it is happening
- Access to Club Petrolblog offers, giveaways and occasional members-only bits
- And, most importantly, the warm glow of supporting independent car nonsense
Existing members are especially encouraged to renew early, not least because I’d like to keep your membership numbers rolling over where possible. New members are equally welcome, although you should probably know that the initiation ceremony has been cancelled on account of the current heatwave and not wanting to travel in a car without working air-con.
There’s no complicated tier system, no gold membership, no premium lounge and no promise that joining Club Petrolblog will improve your life in any measurable way. But it does help keep Petrolblog ticking along, funds the stickers, supports the daft projects, and gives me another excuse to put things in envelopes while wondering where it all went wrong.
So, if you’d like to renew or join Club Petrolblog for 2026-27, now is the time.
Join before 31 July and it’s £13.60. After that, it rises to £19.98, which is still cheaper than most things involving old cars.
Thank you, as ever, for reading, supporting, sharing, commenting, and generally making this odd corner of the internet feel worthwhile.
Right, where did I put the Bic?
