10 more green cars sitting on a blog
Back in September, I posted ten images on PetrolBlog with the aim of proving to a 'Prominent PR Person' that green cars rock. Sadly, I failed in my attempt, but through the power of Twitter I did discover that the love of green cars runs quite deep within petrolhead circles. So much so that the #greencarsrock hash tag often makes an appearance should a rather lovely green car appear on the high street.
Well I thought it was about time to compile another list. Here are the best ten from today. Image credits at the end.
Metro 6R4 - @jonbradbury
The Metro is perhaps an unlikely entry. But not when it is the legendary 6R4. Superb!
Volkswagen Polo MK1 - @robgt2
Modified perhaps, but a mint Polo all the same.
Ford Escort Mk1 - @jonbradbury
Old-school classic Ford.
Lancia Stratos - @Carfolio
Let's face it, the Stratos would look good even if it was painted in Dulux magnolia. But in green, it simply oozes appeal.
Land Rover 90 / 110 / Defender - @MajorGav
A slightly biased view perhaps, but Land Rovers look best in green!
Ford Capri 280 - @robgt2
The ultimate incarnation of the MkIII Capri and the ultimate colour. My old tail happy companion!
Jaguar XJS TWR - @robgt2
Stunning. This one will appeal to @RalphHosier
Ford Cortina MKIII - @jonbradbury
Ignore the dodgy alloys, this Cortina works for me.
Austin Allegro - @OneCarefulOwner
You can make up your own minds on this one!
Jaguar XJ12C - @Dogknob1
As driven by Steed in the New Avengers. One of the ultimate TV cars
Thanks for all the suggestions. There are enough suggestions left over to start compiling a third instalment, so keep using the #greencarsrock hash tag on Twitter!
