10 green cars sitting on a blog

by Gavin Braithwaite-Smith

I was challenged by a ‘Prominent PR Person’ today who fervently disagreed with my suggestion that green is one of the best colours to grace a motor car. The look of horror on ‘Prominent PR Person’s’ face was such that I wondered if I’d been misheard and was in fact saying that the coffee shop was on fire and all the exits were blocked. But no, I’d merely suggested that if was to purchase a new Volkswagen Scirocco tomorrow, I’d be ticking the option box alongside the words ‘Viper’ and ‘Green’.

Sensing that my credibility as an automotive voice of reason was hanging in the balance, I threw open the debate to my followers on Twitter. The following list summarises the subsequent discussion. You can make up your own mind as to whether green cars rock or not.

For one reason or another I was offline (again) today, and so missed most of this Twitterish back and forth. Which is a shame, because I have always rather felt that the ’69 Camaro looks particularly fetching in green…

Oh yes. That is indeed rather lovely. A top choice Mr 88Brit. Now get yourself back on Twitter to enjoy more car-based twittering antics.
