In Japan, this car didn't just have a turbo, it had HYPER TURBO.

But then again, this is Japan, where Integras fall from Outer space.

The guy with the curly hair and sunglasses who nearly gets run over at the zebra crossing looks a lot like the late great BeeGee, Robin Gibb.

Actually, that's a better shout than the Daltery/Lennon comparison.

A hint of Richard Ashcroft, too?

That said, he seems a bit too upbeat and 'jazz hands' to be the former Verve frontman.

Just discovered this bad boy - I want it so bad. Japanese eighties goodness. Downside - it's in the USA! https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1191955

In the central London dealership where we were allowed only four of them for the year - 1984 - (the import quota then affecting Japanese cars carved up between themselves by the Jap manufacturers based on past UK sales - hence Datsun to become Nissan, then Toyota, lastly Honda) we were told the Jazz/City was designed by a team of engineers none over the age of 25, deliberately to produce a young persons idea of what a city car should be. All four were purchased just by passers-bye as impulse gifts for members of their families! The new Jazz was totally novel!
\the jazz was cute and quick and well made. I know at least one of those four is in cherished use in London still, and looking original and good. Simple choice of colours too. Red or White!
