Following a Phase 2 Peugeot 309 Green on the streets of Huelgoat, France
Happy New Year! It's been four months since the last upload, so here's a VERY quick video to prove that Petrolblog is still alive. I found this terrible footage of a magnificent car while searching for something else, so I figured it would be a useful palate cleanser ahead of more waffle in 2025. You can expect, in no particular order, an update on Nöddy the Volvo 144, the Peugeot 406 Coupé, Renault Safranes, Land Rover Discovery and Toyota Camry, etc.
Available as a three- or five-door, the Peugeot 309 Green special edition wasn't named after Al Green, Peter Green or Eva Green, not least because the former Bond girl was only seven when the first 309 Green rolled out of the factory. No, it was named after part of a golf course. You'd have to go a fairway to find a more authentic French hatchback for a Brittany town. It still has its original white wheel trims, side stripes and rear badge, but the white rear bumper and rear wiper are conspicuous by their absence. Still, it looks magnificent, especially on black plates.
