PetrolBlog's Big Day Out at the Vauxhall Heritage Centre

Major Waffle Vauxhall
PetrolBlog is heading back to the Vauxhall Heritage Centre and offering one PetrolBlog reader the chance to join us.

You may remember last year I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Vauxhall Heritage Centre. Much fun was had tootling around the streets of Luton in the likes of an old Chevette, Nova, Astra GTE and Cavalier. You can read my initial report from the Heritage Centre here, plus some additional words on the Chevette and Cavalier.

But a single afternoon simply wasn't enough, so I was bold enough to ask Vauxhall for a return visit. Plus being extra cheeky I asked if I could bring Team PB along for the ride. And surprisingly the good people of Vauxhall said yes. So on April 3rd, PetrolBlog is off to the Vauxhall Heritage Centre once again.

We've been promised a drive in the following cars:

  • 1979 Chevette HSR
  • 1984 Astra GTE
  • 1990 Astra GTE
  • 1994 Astra GSI
  • 1997 Calibra
  • 2004 VXR220

The Boss? New 2013 Vauxhall ADAMA proper PetrolBlog line-up with Vauxhall also kindly laying on an ADAM, Ampera, Astra VXR and a Mokka for us to try. Good times.

And the further good news? PetrolBlog and Vauxhall is offering a PetrolBlog reader a chance to join Team PB on the day. The competition is open to anyone over the age of 21 who holds a full UK/European driving licence. The competition winner will be free to drive the cars on offer, but will be accompanied by a representative from Vauxhall.

You'll need to make your own way to Luton - exact times are to be confirmed. The day will be a relaxed affair, with a chance to wander around the Heritage Centre, chat to members of the PetrolBlog team and drive a selection of Vauxhalls old and new. I'll also bring along a couple of packets of BlogNobs to ensure nobody goes hungry.

To stand a chance of winning simply fill out the form below. A winner will be chosen at random (using random.org) on the 25th March. Deadline for entries is 5pm on Monday 25th March. Alternatively you can 'like' the relevant update on PetrolBlog's Facebook page or by using the #PetrolBlogBigDayOut hashtag on twitter.

It's as simple as that. Remember, you must be over the age of 21, hold a full UK or European driving licence and be able to make your own way to Luton on the 3rd April. We'll sort out the cars and biscuits.

Good luck!
